Dashboard control with CAN

AMA Instruments (Italy) offers the Dashcontrol which is dedicated to off-highway applications for remote control of displays. It connects to the display via CAN.

The remote control system for displays allows the operator to manage the dashboard display directly from the armrest of from the command console. It connects to the display via a CAN network, it can also directly drive eight loads of 2 A. The operating voltage ranges from 8 VDC to 32 VDC, protected against reverse polarity. The IP65-rated product comes with an operating temperature of -20 °C to +70 °C and a 16-bit Spansion micro-controller central processing unit. Its memory supports Flash 256,5 KiB + 32 KiB as well as RAM 16 KiB. The LCD TFT panel measures 2,4 inch and provides a resolution of 240 pixels x 320 pixels. The CAN interface supports the standard frame format with an 11-bit identifier as well as the 29-bit identifier extended frame format (ISO 11898 standard) . Programmable languages in C or C+++ are provided.
