Extending series
With the Nallino form factor board, Garz & Fricke extended its ARM-based SBC (single board controller) line. It features a CAN interface.
The embedded board comes with an i.MX6ULL processor by NXP, from the Cortex A7 ultra-low-power class. It aims at the market for applications with smaller display diagonals, such as 4,3-inch and 5-inch devices.
The board is compatible with the previous Neso LT, Vincell LT, and Santino LT single board computers. Alongside a range of industrial interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, USB, EIA-485, EIA-232, and loudspeaker output, it additionally offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity as options. Also included in the product is a microSD card slot. The power supply unit allows input voltages of 9 VDC to 32 VDC, which opens up opportunities for applications in many different environments.
The on-board display interface supports 24-bit TTL, meaning that control of both 4-wire resistive and PCAP touchscreens is possible. Initially, the Linux Yocto operating system is supported, as UI-frameworks Qt and Embedded Wizard. Pre-production samples can be delivered immediately. Launch of the series is scheduled for quarter three.
